I am a recent UCD graduate with a degree in Environmental Science and Management, and a minor in Geology.
Experience
Minimal tutoring experience, but have interned in a middle school science class and tutored fellow undergraduate classmates. Completed SAT, ACT, and GRE. Would like to become a tutor as a part time job to earn extra money as I work to my way to Graduate School. I have excellent communication skills, leadership skills, and have worked with kids ages 6-18 for the last eight years. I have extensive experience in leadership, team building, and self motivation teaching, as well as previous experience as an aquatics instructor. Why I am tutoring: I love teaching and helping kids learn and discover new things, while motivating themselves and encouraging confidence. I have had the pleasure of teaching and working with all different ages, ethnicities, behavioral, and socioeconomic backgrounds. For me, the child comes first, and for me that begins with mutual respect for them as a peer. After that, the learning is easy!

A little about myself: I love the outdoors which lead me to choose environmental science at UCD. I plan on moving on to Graduate School, but first gaining some hands on experience. That being said, a little extra work is always a good thing, and I also love working with kids.
