Experience

I am in my second year at the University of California, Davis, where I am majoring in English. I have extensive tutoring experience, where I worked with students in a local public outreach program sponsored by a local high school. I also volunteer in a program that teaches reading skills to young learners. Moreover, I am skilled in helping students study for their SAT tests.While I am able to teach mathematics, history, and science at the high school level, my absolute favorite subject is English. Within English, I specialize in tutoring reading and writing across all grades. Other subjects that I tutor are social studies, literature, and nutrition.I do not believe in merely memorizing answers and studying for the rest. In order to fully understand a subject, the student must be inspired to learn. Because of this, I work hard to ensure that each of my students develops a deeper understanding of the content we review.In my university sorority, I work as the philanthropy chairperson. It is my job to organize events aimed at giving back to the community. Outside of academia, I like to exercise through bicycling and playing softball. My other hobbies include reading and listening to music.
