I'm a university writing instructor with 4 years of tutoring experience and 8 years of instructional experience. Although it has been a long time since I've taken the SAT, GRE, or other standardized tests, I currently work as a test scorer for the CBEST (California Basic Educational Skills Test) and the CSET (California Skills in English Test), so I'm intimately familiar with how standardized test essays are evaluated and scored. I'm a patient and thorough tutor, and I enjoy working with writers and readers of all ages, whether they like reading and writing or not! School can be difficult, but getting help should be easy.

Hobbies

I've tutored children and adults of all ages, from kindergarten all the way through college. I have two nephews and a niece (ages 6 through 14), and my main hobby is going on adventures with them to the beach, to museums, to botanical gardens, or to any quirky instance of California history or nature. I also enjoy reading and writing about Victorian literature, and drinking tea to go along with my giant novels.
