Education

I am a finishing graduate student in Plasma Physics and Fusion Energy at the University of York (UK - I am writing my thesis remotely from California). I graduated from the University of Cambridge (UK) in 2013 with a First Class degree in Natural Sciences. I specialised in Physics, but also studied Math, Chemistry and some Geology.

Experience

I have taught Physics classes and labs to undergraduate students for three years during grad school. I achieved a First Class grade in my undergraduate degree in Natural Sciences at the University of Cambridge (UK). During high school in the UK I achieved the top grades in all my subjects (especially Math, Physics, Chemistry, and French in my final year). I love sharing my enthusiasm for learning, especially science, math and reading. I have run a lot of science outreach activities for elementary school children, and really enjoy the opportunity to try to inspire the same enthusiasm in the people I meet. I have also volunteered to help in after school homework clubs and one-to-one reading schemes in local elementary schools.

Outside of my grad school research I am a keen reader and ultimate frisbee player! I also love going hiking and bouldering. I am outgoing and friendly, and a conscientious worker.
