Education
I am a rising Senior at Wake Forest University that is majoring in Economics and Political Science. I graduated from University High School in Irvine, California, and have experience in most of the district's most rigorous courses. I will be in Winston-Salem for my final year of college starting in mid-August and will be available to being tutoring students then.
Experience
I graduated from University High School, ranked the #8 high school in the nation by NewsWeek magazine, and have taken all the required courses at a rigorous Irvine school in addition to numerous AP classes ranging from AP United States History to AP Biology. In addition I have scored in the 700-800's in SAT Subject Tests such as US History, Math II, and Literature, and received a 2240 on the SAT test with a perfect score on the essay and Writing section. I want to be a tutor because I want to impart the knowledge I've gained through my K-12 years to students who really need help in school. Seeing as I have recently graduated high school, all this information regarding teachers and courses are fresh in my head. Also, I feel that I have proven my academic skill through my standardized test scores and attending a top 25 university in the nation. In addition, I am a National Merit Finalist, President of several organizations such as Model United Nations, and am the California State Champion in History. I have the study skills, public speaking skills, and knowledge to effectively to teach students and help the succeed in their endeavors. Starting in August 2015, I will be in available after 3 PM. I am willing to tutor students during this period of time.
