Education
Masters degree in Molecular Biology. Masters degree in Biostatistics. BS in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Gettysburg College (GPA = 3.8). I only tutor for classes that I have TA-ed! Meaning that I am not only an expert in the course material, but also how to teach the course material. I have recently finished graduate school(s) and have landed a job as a Biostatistician at UC Davis! I am still tutoring in the evenings and weekends.
Experience
I have been a TA for 4 years and have taught Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, Genetics, Biochemistry I, Biochemistry II and Bioinformatics. I have had 9 years of Biology higher-education, so too many classes to list here- I am an expert in most subjects pertaining to the life sciences! I've been tutoring a wide variety of these subjects for over four years. I took the MCAT and received a score in the top 90% and would love to help students prepare for the MCAT or similar exams. Teaching was my favorite part about graduate school and I am happy to use my experience as a TA to work with college students. I have recently received a masters degree in Biostatistics. My eventual career goal is to combine my knowledge of Biology and Statistics and work in the field of personalized medicine.
