Currently, I am a Ph.D.Candidate at School of Education in UC Davis. My research focused on Chinese and English biliteracy and bilingual development. Master of Education in Curriculum & instruction at Texas A&M University.
Experience
I am a native speaker of Chinese. And I can also communicate in English very well. I love teaching and helping others. I have gained several Chinese tutoring experience in the U.S. in the past three years. I tutored for students who are taking Chinese classes at Texas A&M university. Specifically, I helped with their homework, practice speaking with them (one to one). I also have tutoring experience in K-12 settings. I provided one to one individualized tutoring as well as small group based tutoring to K-12 students who were learning or taking mandarin classes. In terms of professional training, I have taken classes on second language acquisition, foreign language teaching pedagogy and teaching Mandarin as a second language during my academic journey.
