Experience
I've tutored a variety of kids, ranging from age six to 17. Often times these kids had severe learning/emotional needs that required much patience and perspective taking. I am willing to work in accordance to your child's academic and emotional needs and desires; adapting the sessions in accordance to their skills in my efforts to optimize their academic endeavors. I am highly involved with non-profit work, mainly mental health non-profits and campaigns geared towards reducing stigma and discrimination associated with emotional and learning disabilities. I serve as a state board member for a mental health non-profit, specializing in alternative treatment using art and other creative mechanisms in my efforts to educate and help others who are in need. I feel that using creative, interdisciplinary, and dynamic approaches in school, work, and public service projects is an important and necessary tool in educating across a variety of disciplines and cultures.
