Education
I recently earned my Ph.D. in psychology from UC Davis with a final GPA of 3.946. I earned my M.S. in Child Development from UC Davis and my B.A. in Psychology from UC Santa Cruz.
Experience
I have been a TA for the UC Davis psychology department for 5 years (10 times for General Psychology, 4 times for Developmental Psychology, 1 time for Abnormal Psychology, and 1 time for Psychology of Emotion). I also team-taught General Psychology in the Spring of 2013. Before starting graduate school I was a TA for Introduction to Social Psychology and Abnormal Psychology at UC Santa Cruz . I have worked with many of my students on multiple choice test-taking skills, note taking skills, and other study skills. As a Teaching Assistant I have repeatedly been described in my student evaluations as helpful, friendly, approachable and enthusiastic. I have been in college for 16 years, so I have taken a lot of courses, and almost all of them were in Human Development or Psychology. I really enjoy teaching and helping students to learn study skills. I am currently applying for positions at UC Davis and Folsom Lake College to teach study skills to students as part of their retention efforts.
